Saturday 18th February @Monsters Of Mayhem, The Quayside, Runcorn

The day after Metamorphosis we’ll be dragging ourselves out of our beds for the drive up to Runcorn for Monsters Of Mayhem at the Quayside. We’re playing alongside The Year For Lying Eyes (who are launching their EP exclusively at MoM that night), The 5-0s and The Not-So-Super Heroes. It’s almost guaranteed to be a noisy, sweaty night of noise and sweat and it always sells out, so make sure you’re there well before the 7:30 doors time to get your place in the queue. £4 in.

Friday 17th February @Metamorphosis, Warwick University Students’ Union

We’re back at Metamorphosis at Warwick Uni Students’ Union, where Tom’s sound and lighting mates get to play with big noisy toys and try and turn your guts inside out. Those of you who made it last year will probably remember the fire alarm and standing outside in the snow at 1am - we’re not planning on repeating that part of the set this year but it should still be quite a night. Joining us in Tom’s 50s-style diner are norse power-pop trio The Young Meteors, doors are at 9, the event goes on til 3am, NUS is a fiver, Non-NUS is £7.

Friday 3rd February @Seven Stars, Hucknall, Notts

So, with January happily tucked away under our belts, we head over to Nottingham for a long-overdue return fixture with the awesome Weeble. Support comes from Petal and Beat My Guest. Doors are at 7:30, £3 in…

Indie United

Unsound Podcast

We’ve been Podcast again! Unsound have included Texas Hold Up in the most recent episode of their show, along with a bunch of other really good stuff. In their words…

THROW AWAY YOUR RADIO AND LISTEN UP!!! A showcase of new and undiscovered bands with a fresh approach to underground music that’s too hardcore for corporate controlled, commercial driven radio stations. This music isn’t for your momma or your daddy. It’s time to get down and dirty! Forget what you thought you knew about “music” spoon fed to you by the mass media. Sit down, shut up, and listen.
