Thanks For Nothing
We’re in Moonbase, recording the album which is tentatively titled ‘Thanks For Nothing’. We’ve got a pretty punishing schedule - 10 songs to get through in one weekend, but so far it’s going pretty well. We’ve got guitar, bass and drums down on Goatpuncher, The Right Way To Do Things Wrongly, Intro and they’re currently laying down a blistering version of Deathray. More updates in the comments as they happen, with some video as and when we work out how YouTube works.

That’s ‘Zombie Safari’ down, complete with guide brass played on kazoo. Haircut’s up next.
Now it’s the hard ones. ‘Quit On You’ has taken a couple of runs, but is down now. It’s also 4 and a half minutes long, which is epic for us…
Mind you, to make up for it, ‘Cut Off Your Feet’ is less than 2 minutes. ‘Good To Talk’ and ‘Can’t Help It’ are left now; these two are the tricky ones.
And that’s the 10 tracks down! But the boys are in the zone and want to get down ‘Come Fight Me’ while they can. an 11 track album recorded in 2 hours. We kick so much ass…
Sam and Chris are calibrating superhero Top Trumps. Rock and Roll.
It’s all about the trumpets as Tim moves in to start brassing up some punk. Extensive profanities but it’s sounding good.
Trumpet down on Feet, Zombie and Haircut. Matt’s turn while Tim takes a breather, W Johnathon fuels up with Rock n Roll food

And Chris loses Batgirl…
Tim is struggling with The Right Way To Do Things Wrongly. Some nasty, nasty noises being produced there….
Tim is being punished for writing the hardest song in the set by being unable to play his part to ‘Good To Talk’. We’re leaving that bit for tomorrow and finishing up for today with Deathray.
Chris has just discovered that Matt can play La Bamba on the trombone. He has also just enlightened us that the lyrics to one verse go “I’m not a sailor, I’m not a sailor, I’m not a sailor, I’m the captain, I’m the captain, I’m the captain”. Pure genius.
